How much are the sessions: The sessions may have no cost if they are funded through a third party. If the individual is funding the sessions the cost is $150.00 per session (including GST).

How long does treatment take: The length of treatment varies depending on the client's needs. Sessions typically take place weekly for one hour but this is negotiated with the client. What will happen at the appointments: The first appointment is used to do an assessment of your needs and to answer any questions that you may have. Sessions after this are about working together towards a solution. Sessions are structured and focused on finding practical solutions. You will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire during sessions to help the psychologist understand your symptoms and track your progress. You are welcome to bring a support person/s to sessions.

How do I make an appointment: Clients can self-refer or can be referred by a third party such as their general practitioner or other professional.

Is there a waitlist: An appointment is generally able to be offered within a week's time. If this is not possible, Jessica will assist you to find an alternative professional. In the case of Stratos Employee Assistance Programme or ACC Sensitive Claims clients, an appointment is offered within five working days.
